In the Light of Heritage – International Celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the World Heritage Status of Porto’s Historic Centre

Concept and preparation of the candidacy for the event “In the Light of Heritage” (Alumia), within the framework of the 2020 North Regional Operational Programme.

On December 5th, 2016, it was celebrated the 20th anniversary of the classification of Porto’s Historic Centre as a World Heritage Site. ALUMIA project, an artistic intervention in the public space of the historic centre, commemorated this milestone. Opium was responsible for conceiving the open call and managing the production of six light installations.
